When it comes to our dogs, there is no one size fits all. Every dog is unique. And therefore, I adjust all of my services based on the dog owner’s knowledge, desire to learn, the dog’s personality, and the dog’s behavior.
My vast understanding of dog training, life and leadership coaching, animal communication, and health consulting allows me to look at dog training from a “holistic” perspective, meaning I will not look at your dog’s behavior and needs only from a training perspective but also from a health, nutrition and emotional perspective. Many times, I will also include my animal communication skills to check in with your dog beforehand to learn from him/her what (s)he needs most. What I require from my clients is active participation and ownership. That is the most important ingredient that will ensure lasting change.
Based on my extensive experience with dogs and people I know that:
- Dogs need clear and consistent leadership to thrive.
- Treating dogs like humans sets them up for confusion and failure.
- Our emotional and mental baggage can impact our dogs’ energy and well-being.
- Dogs can move through past traumas but they may require flexible leadership, patience, and understanding.
With this understanding, we can help an established dog overcome behavioral challenges and we can also help a puppy or newly adopted family dog prevent behavioral issues right from the beginning. That’s why I customize my approach to cater to your unique needs. Sometimes, all it takes is learning a new skill to effectively handle your dog and witness their behavior transform. Other times, humans benefit from leadership and life coaching, making healthy improvements in their own lives that positively impact their four-legged family members.
I meet with my clients in the greater Atlanta, GA metropolitan area, in the environments where they want to transform the behavior and relationship of their dogs. That includes Atlanta, Marietta, Woodstock, Acworth, Roswell, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Tucker, Doraville, Smyrna, Buckhead, Brookhaven, and a couple of times even as far as McDonough.
Iris, thank you so much for taking so much time with me on Friday on the phone! The suggestions you have given have made a huge difference in just 24 hours! Max is doing well.. no snapping at all yesterday and most important our kids are working hard on being calm with him and playing without being nervous. They are loving feeding him out of their hand. At the moment he’s in the crate taking a nap (quietly and for 15 min so far!). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Unleash Your Best Life
… with the support of your dog.
Dogs can play an integral part when it comes to creating a life full of zest, vitality, and meaning. Our relationship with dogs can open us up to new adventures that just weren’t accessible to us before. If you are willing to take your relationship with your dog and your life to a deeper level, this program will impact you in miraculous ways.
First Time Dog Owner Success
Adopting your first dog is exciting. However, it can also be quite overwhelming. Being proactive and learning about dogs and behavior shaping right at the beginning of your journey together can save you time, nerves, and money.
Seasoned Dog-Lover
Your dog has found themselves in a bit of trouble. They’ve been barking excessively, destroying the house, reacting aggressively on the leash, and being disobedient at home. Instead of waiting for more incidents to occur, you’re eager to learn how to better lead your dog so they can put an end to these unwanted behaviors.
Optimize Well-Being
When a dog gets sick, it cannot only feel heavy on your heart but also on your wallet. We cannot expect veterinarians to take care of our dogs’ health; no, we have to play an active role. That starts with food and care. In this program, you will learn how to switch your dog’s food to a fresh food diet and how you can become more proactive with your dog’s health.
Iris is incredibly insightful. Her techniques are humane and she thoroughly explains them so they really make sense and motivate the human to follow the advice. We had another dog trainer out whom made our dog scared and we feel could potentially “break our dog’s spirit.” Iris’ technique was the exact opposite. Our dog really enjoyed the training and she will definitely enjoy the more adventures she can have now that she can walk on a leash properly and safely. I highly recommend Iris! She is an expert on canine and even human behavior.
